terms of service.

1. who we are.
unlocked online is operated by unlocked fitness studio (the "studio", "we", "us", "our"), based at stellenbosch, western cape, south africa. our coaching team is led by our head coach. you can reach us at hello@unlockedonline.co.za.

2. what we offer.
unlocked online is a monthly subscription to online fitness content. that means:
- three new workouts released each week (monday, wednesday, friday)
- a growing library of previous workouts you can do anytime
- direct chat with a qualified coach for form checks, questions, and scaling
- access to the unlocked whatsapp community
we're not a gym, a medical service, or a replacement for professional advice. we're a coaching service — delivered online.
3. your account.
- you must be 18 years or older to subscribe
- give us real information — name, email, whatsapp number — or we may suspend your account
- you're responsible for keeping your password safe
- one account per person. don't share logins.
4. subscription and billing.
monthly subscription. when you sign up you pick a tier (r199 or r399 per month) and your card is billed immediately for the first month, through our payment processor (payfast). the subscription then renews automatically every month on the same date until you cancel.
price changes. we may change the subscription price in future. we'll give you at least 30 days' notice by email before any price increase. if you don't like the new price, you can cancel before it applies.
failed payments. if your card fails, our processor will retry automatically for up to 7 days. if we still can't collect payment, your access pauses until the card is fixed. we won't delete your data during this time.
5. cancellation.
you can cancel any time from settings → subscription, no questions asked. you keep access until the end of the current billing month — we don't prorate or refund partial months. after the last paid day, your access stops but your account stays so you can come back later.

6. the health part. please read this.
- by using unlocked online you confirm you're physically able to exercise
- you take responsibility for your own safety when training
- we are not medical professionals; our content is not medical advice
- if you have a pre-existing condition (pregnancy, heart condition, injury, etc.), speak to your doctor before starting — and tell your coach so they can help you scale appropriately
7. our content.
all videos, written programming, and materials on unlocked online are owned by us or licensed to us. as a subscriber, you get a personal, non-transferable license to stream the content for your own training.
please don't:
- download, rip, or re-upload our videos anywhere
- share your login with others
- use our content for commercial purposes (e.g. teaching classes from our programming)
if you'd like to use our content commercially — coaching, licensing, collaborations — reach out, we'd love to talk.
8. your content.
when you send us form-check videos, chat messages, or photos, you keep ownership of your content. you give us a limited license to use it to deliver coaching to you (e.g. a coach replying with feedback). we won't post your content publicly without your permission.
9. community rules (chat + whatsapp).
our chat and whatsapp group are for training support and community. keep it respectful:
- no harassment, hate speech, or personal attacks
- no spam, unsolicited selling, or promoting other services
- no sharing of others' personal info
- no medical advice — leave that to the professionals
we may remove messages or suspend accounts that break these rules. serious breaches = immediate ban, no refund.
10. what we promise (and don't).
we try to keep the service running 24/7, but we can't guarantee it'll never go down. we also can't promise specific results — fitness depends on you.
to the maximum extent allowed by south african law, our liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. we are not liable for indirect losses (lost income, consequential damage, etc.).
this does not limit your rights under the consumer protection act, 2008.
11. ending the agreement.
you can cancel any time (see section 5). we can suspend or close your account if you break these terms — we'll tell you why if we do. you can close your account and request deletion of your data by emailing hello@unlockedonline.co.za.
12. changes to these terms.
we might update these terms. if we make material changes, we'll email you at least 30 days before they take effect. continued use of the service after that = acceptance of the new terms. if you don't agree, cancel before the changes apply.
13. governing law.
these terms are governed by south african law. any dispute goes to the courts of the western cape high court, cape town. before suing anyone, please email us — 95% of issues are sorted out with a quick chat.
